C. Russell Hunley, a native Virginian, has had a lifelong interest in the Civil War, especially the roles of his ancestors in the conflict. He is an employee of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Eustis, Virginia. A graduate of West Point, Mr. Hunley is currently a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve. Appropriately, his first book concerns his great-great-grandfather, Sergeant Young.
