David Farris Cross has published numerous medical and American history magazine articles and is a founding member of the Green Mountain Civil War Roundtable. He retired after a 30-year career as a physician in Rutland, Vermont, having devoted 10 years to the study of the Vermont Brigade at the Petersburg & Weldon Railroad.
