Betty Jean Belkham Gatewood is a middle-school science teacher and former museum interpreter. Having taught in schools, living history museums, and state and national parks, she tries to inspire her students to learn by experiencing and listening. Betty resides in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with her husband and daughter.
