David Sullivan has spent more than 25 years researching the United States Marine Corps in the Civil War series. Editor at Military Collector and Historian: The Journal of the Company of Military Historians, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Confederate History, and a contributing editor to Military Images, he has published more than 50 articles on the history of the United States and Confederate States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is the recipient of the 1998 Captain Emile Louis Bonnot, USNR (Ret.) Award for military writing.
